This summer, whether you’ve been scrolling through Facebook,
Twitter or Instagram, your social media feeds have probably included stories
about the Zika virus. You may have read about how the Zika virus spreads mostly
through mosquito bites, the potentially devastating impact that Zika can have
on pregnant women and their newborns, or the number of cases here in the United
States. At HHS, we are working to ensure you have the most accurate and
up-to-date information about Zika and what it means for your health and safety.
Social media is a valuable tool for key information about Zika,
but we need your help to spread the word. We want to make sure you and your
social networks have the most accurate information on the Zika virus, and we’ll
share more information as it becomes available.
Share key
messages about Zika with your friends and family. Every
retweet and share helps us educate more people and plays a part in preventing
the spread of Zika.
