Every year, in accordance with North Carolina General Statutes 105-283 and 105-287, the Lee County Tax Appraisal Division must reassess all real properties that have experienced any type of change such as new construction, remodeling, building demolition, rezoning, acreage change, land splits or merges, etc. If your property has experienced any of these changes, a property assessment value notice will be mailed to you on Friday March 11, 2011 notifying you of your new real property assessment as of January 1, 2011.
