The Lee County Board of Commissioners, at their August 16th meeting, adopted a proclamation proclaiming September 18 - October 2 as Fall LITTER SWEEP in Lee County. Citizens are encouraged to assist with roadside cleanup during this event. This cleanup will celebrate the 22nd anniversary of the North Carolina Department of Transportation Adopt-A-Highway Program.

Will Lee County pick up garbage bags and garbage free of charge for instance on State Roads?
ReplyDeleteThe Litter Sweep coordinator for Lee County is Joanna Peele and her contact # is 910-944-7621. She will help assist with selecting a road to be cleaned up, date and time of pickup, how and where to pick up supplies (bags, vests and gloves), and any other information.
