Learn the art of Chair Caning through a hands on class at NC Cooperative Extension. This two-day class will begin with an information session Tuesday, August 24 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and participants will be completing chairs Saturday, August 28 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm at the McSwain Extension Education Center. The class is sponsored by the Lee County Extension and Community Association and will be taught by Helen Buchanan, local basket weaver and chair caning expert.
