      The Lee County Board of Commissioners is currently accepting applications for the              following Board vacancies: 

·         ADA Committee                                     1 (Educational Representative)

·         Agriculture Advisory Board                    1 - Jonesboro

          2 - East Sanford

          1 - West Sanford

·         Joint Environmental Affairs Board          4 

·         Industrial Facilities & Pollution Control   3

·         Rest Home-Nursing Home                      2

·         Sanford Planning Board                          2 (must live in 1 mile ETJ)

·         Sanford Board of Adjustments                1

Applications can be submitted online through the County website

On August 2, 9, and 16, Lee County Library will host a 3-part Grant Writing Program! Participants will learn where to look for money and how to write grants for their non-profits, government agencies or anyone interested in learning about grants.

Our host, Irene Smith, is involved with many local charities and has raised lots of money for them through her grant writing know-how.

Classes are FREE and will be in the Library at 10am on August 2, 9, and 16. Interested participants please visit us at the library and sign up!  Or call 919-718-4665
